高雄燕巢在地生產的蜜棗品質優良,果實甜美、香脆、多汁,我們選擇合作的果農賴隆溪先生更是其中的佼佼者,不但改良了蜜棗的種植模式,更多次榮獲全國蜜棗品質評鑑冠軍。
為了將如此優秀的蜜棗推上精品銷售舞台,包裝設計上特地與市售水果禮盒作區隔,我們將燕巢的在地風情以可愛的插畫手法導入其中,打破一般消費者對地方伴手禮包裝大紅喜氣的傳統刻版印象,重新設計出能夠吸引年輕消費族群的創新伴手禮包裝。
於是本計畫開始蒐集資料,設計包裝的樣式規格,以及尋找最佳的加工方式及壓低成本,同時包裝形式必須能降低商品碰撞風險,並保有方便運送及送禮手提的機能。在新版包裝中展現蜜棗的多汁甜美及燕巢當地特色,以棲息於燕巢的一級瀕危絕種的保育鳥類「草鴞」為創作原型,作為吉祥物提升識別度。


YANCHAO JUJUBES

Top-quality jujubes from Yanchao are luscious, crispy and succulent. The farmer, Mr. Lai Long Si, whom we choose to collaborate, is the ace in the industry. He not only improves the growing pattern but also wins the national quality assessment contest for jujubes many times. In order to promote such excellent jujubes and differentiate them from other competitors, we especially design our packaging and introduce local scenery with adorable illustrations, trying to reverse the traditional stereotype that the public has for local souvenirs and redesign an innovative packaging which would attract a younger client base. Therefore, we start to collect information, develop the specification of packaging, search for the best way to process and keep the cost down. Packaging has to able to protect the products while retaining the portability. In order to show the local characteristics, in the new version of packaging, we use a first-grade endangered species in Yanchao, “Grass Owl” as our mascot to enhance our brand identity.
